Job QUALIFICATIONS

Job Specification

Kelly Engineering has an exciting opportunity for a **Director of Engineering** with a growing developer of sustainable and green energy technology in San Antonio, TX.


The Director of Engineering will oversee product engineering operations and ensure that proper engineering procedures are followed. Individual will work with all stakeholder groups (Commercial, Technology, Finance, etc.) to lead Engineering team in developing processes and delivering solutions that enable the company's objectives.


**Primary Responsibilities:**


+ Plan and coordinate the work of engineering staff.

+ Oversee engineering staff and ensure that they meet goals and objectives.

+ Hiring and interviewing of additional engineering staff as needed.

+ Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.

+ Provides training and mentoring as needed.

+ Consults with COO (Chief Operating Officer), and Director of Manufacturing to create long-range operating and manufacturing goals to the needs of the organization.

+ Develops new product from concept to testing to production.

+ Overseas progress and timeliness of projects.

+ Project management and engineering.

+ Fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, mass transfer, process simulation.

+ Reviews project reports to ensure projects are on schedule and within budget.

+ Performs other related duties as required.


**Requirements:**


+ BA in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering or Related Field, Masters in Engineering a Plus

+ 15+ years experience in mechanical or chemical engineering or related field

+ Previous technical experience in product development

+ Minimum 5+ years of management experience (teams of 5+ engineers)

+ Previous experience developing and scaling engineering/technical teams

+ Ability to be hands-on and assist team when needed

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

+ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

+ Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

+ Travel as needed (up to 30%)


**Target Salary:**

$150-175k, depending on experience
