Job CONDITIONS

Duties and Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for and provides leadership and direction to the Manufacturing Engineering group (comprised of Manufacturing Engineers and Material and Process Engineers) to successfully meet Company and department goals


• A key member of the Companys engineering leadership team and helps to provide cohesive leadership to the entire Company by working effectively with all stakeholders and cross-functional teams.


• Ensures regulatory compliance is met.


• Ensures all Manufacturing Engineering activities are in conformance with Company's established policies.


• Ensures all Manufacturing Engineering activities meet quality, cost, and schedule expectations to achieve corporate objectives.


• Ensures innovative systems and processes are identified and implemented to enhance the Companys future.


• Ensures intra-departmental Manufacturing Engineering support throughout the Company.


• Coaches and develops the Manufacturing and Material and Process Engineers to be technical professionals.


• Supports the Manufacturing Engineering group in the creation of manufacturing artifacts.


• Interfaces with manufacturing suppliers and the FAA to support the production of parts and helicopters.


• Writes and reviews Manufacturing Engineering policies and procedures.


• Proposes and ensures that all Manufacturing Engineering expenditures meet budgetary constraints.


• Conducts performance evaluations, plans salary actions, recommends hires and promotions, anticipates, and plans for skills and human resource requirements and develops staff to meet those needs.


• Interprets and applies Company policies and provides leadership toward resolving employee issues.


• Conducts oneself in accordance with Companys Core Values.


• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelors degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Materials, Mechanical, or Metallurgical Engineering or related field and 10 years of relevant engineering experience in aviation, or an advanced degree and seven years of relevant experience in aviation


• A minimum of three years of engineering management experience


• Experience with technically complex new product development projects


• Experience with technically complex low volume manufacturing in a highly regulated environment (aviation, medical, etc.).


• Effectively coordinates requirements with engineering leadership and internal customers


• Ability to write and review technical engineering reports


• Ability to write and review Company policies and procedures


• Ability to coach and develop technical professionals of all experience levels


• Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills to interact with employees of all levels of the Company


• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills in order to effectively present ideas, concepts, and proposals to stakeholders at all levels of the Company


• Must demonstrate commitment, vision, and a tenacity to drive assignments to completion


• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite


• Must meet International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) as a U.S. Person
